Water gets pumped out first, then we run dehumidifiers and air movers at the subfloor and joists, monitoring moisture in the wood until it's normal. Crawl spaces take longer than a slab job.
If a failed lateral caused the backup, does the city help?
St. Petersburg has a rebate program for private lateral replacement. We handle the water damage side, but if we open a wall and find failed Orangeburg or cast iron, we'll document it for your plumber and the claim.
